Arctic skies
The colours of the sky were constantly changing - from the darkest of night skies through a rainbow spectrum of shades. This abstract landscape captures some of the most vibrant moments put on show. Painted with a palette knife using paints left on my palette, the process was full of surprises and energy.
 
 
In mid-December, I was beyond delighted to visit Lapland in northern Finland. It had always been a dream of mine to go. 
 
Staying on the edge of lake Toras-Sieppi, near the Pallas-Yllas National Park, the landscape was majestic and the tranquility magical. Stunning light, breathtaking scenery and sparkling snow in every direction. Perfect painting inspiration; I couldn’t wait to get started!
